Food Allergy Friday Newsletter from Dr. Alice Hoyt

Happy Friday!

I hope you've had a great week!

I had the pleasure of interviewing my friend and colleague Tamara Hubbard, MA, LCPC, about her upcoming book May Contain Anxiety.

Note

This is not a sponsored post. I just really believe in Tamara's book and how helpful it will be for families, so I wanted to share with you that it will be available soon - September 30, 2025!

Check out my interview with her on the Food Allergy and Your Kiddo Show!

Tamara Hubbard Shares Strategies on Navigating Food Allergy Anxiety

FYI Tamara and I became friends over the past few years. She herself is a food allergy mom. When she meshed her lived experiences with her clinical training and practice, she crafted what is an excellent resource for parents of children with food allergies.

In your practice...

You likely have at least a few families that come to mind when you hear about parents having anxiety about their child's food allergies. And the parents who seem like they have everything pretty well controlled, well they sometimes are the ones most trying to control everything regarding their child and food allergies and, thus, sometimes mask their anxieties. Consider recommending this book to them. It's published by Johns Hopkins and if your local library does not carry it, request it!
